2nd NexusNet Training School – Climate Resilient Management in WEFE Sectors, June, Lake Ohrid, North Macedonia

This enlightening exploration of Climate Resilient Management within the Water, Energy, Food, and Ecosystems (WEFE) sectors was convened by the Scientific Institute for Leadership and Action (SILA) and thoughtfully organized by Vladimir Kitanovski at the scenic Lake Ohrid.

The aims were:

– To brainstorm innovative agricultural technologies.

– To develop strategic plans focused on digital adaptation, certification branding, technological integration, and zero waste.

–  To explore ecolabels in packaging and KPIs for measuring impact.

– To foster dialogue and training for sustainable, resilient agricultural practices.

Agenda Highlights:
– Introductory Speech: by Vladimir Kitanovski , SILA/Bitola, North Macedonia.
– NexusNet Cost Action & EU Elections Campaign by Assist. Prof. Giannis Adamos, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
– NexusNet Year-4 Priorities & Progress Survey by Assist. Prof. Tamara Radjenovic, University of Niš, Serbia.

Masterclass:
– Climate Resilient Management in WEFE Sectors led by Giannis Adamos .

1. WEFE Nexus in Sardinia, ARSINOE project by Alexandra Spyropoulou , University of Thessaly.
2. Thessalian Plain Analysis & Agricultural Case Study by Dimitris Kofinas , University of Thessaly.
3. Net Zero Energy in Food Industry – Fruit Puree Production Facility by Marko Mančić, University of Niš.
4. Climate Resilient Water Management Model by Dijana Likar, IECE, North Macedonia.
5. Civic Engagement in Climate Neutrality by Adina Vintan, Valea Jiului Society.

Workshop:

– Personal Leadership & Communication led by Naomi Timmer
