NexusNet COST Action participated at the 12th International Conference on Environmental Management, Engineering, Planning, and Economics (CEMEPE 2025), May 25-28, 2025.
NexusNet COST Action successfully organized a Special Session at the 12th International Conference on Environmental Management, Engineering, Planning, and Economics (CEMEPE 2025) on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, held on the Island of Mykonos, Greece.
The session convened experts and participants from various regions across Europe to engage in discussions focused on resilience, sustainability, and the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus. This gathering included members of the NexusNet COST Action: the NexusNet Grant Holder Manager, Assistant Professor Giannis Adamos, Mr. Argyrios Balatsoukas, Dr. Dimitris Kofinas, Mr. Marco Falda, Mr. Carlos Felipe Marin Rivera and Dr. Alexandra Spyropoulou (online).
The participants collaboratively investigated innovative strategies for decoupling and managing interlinkages within the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus, placing significant emphasis on enhancing urban and peri-urban resilience in response to climate change and extreme events. The session showcased a variety of case studies, participatory methodologies, and interdisciplinary perspectives, thereby contributing to the advancement of the policy and research agenda of NexusNet.
